Hakan Yildirim graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU), department of electrical engineering in 1999. After that, he completed a master in the field of business at Bogazici University. He began working as assistant project engineer in ASELSAN when he was a student at the university. Then worked as a field engineer in the construction of 3.5 years of natural gas compressor station in Ukraine. In Tukey, he had some management tasks in the commissioning of power plant projects in He has started working as a project manager at Siemens in 2005, then became wind energy department manager and CEO of the Wind Energy Department in Siemens. Today, he is working as CEO of Kalyon Energy.
He is married and with two children and speaks English.
