Mesut Kılıç graduated as the valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA from the Department of International Relations and the EU at Izmir University of Economics in 2016. He also completed a double major in the Department of Business Administration at the same university. During his undergraduate studies, Kılıç successfully completed internship programs at significant institutions such as the Turkish National Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs SAM, and the Center for International Strategy Research (USAM). He completed his master's degree at Bilkent University's Department of International Relations between 2016-2018, focusing on the Institutional Change & Transformation of the Turkish Energy Sector, and he is currently a PhD candidate in the same department. His published works include: “Free and Fair Trade in the Context of Globalization” in the Izmir Review of Social Sciences Vol:3, No:2, 35-42, January 2016, and “Book Review on The Middle East Peace Process and the EU” by Taylan Özgür Kaya – Turkish Journal of International Law and Politics, Vol. 11, No. 44 (2015), ISSN: 1305-5208.
Since his master's years, Kılıç has been working as a Research and Teaching Assistant, and since 2016, he has written sections for various international and EU projects. He also took on the team leadership and project management of three separate projects at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (ICTA) project department from 2017 to 2023.
Since August 2023, Kılıç has continued his work as a Senior Business Development Specialist at TWEA, and from April 2024, he has been serving as the Acting Director of the TWEA Sectoral Research and Business Development Department.
