He was born in Istanbul in 1977. After graduating from Sankt Georg Austrian High School, he completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Purdue University, Department of Industrial Engineering. He completed his doctorate at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Ahmet Kerem Paksoy, who has been working at Duratek Company, which has been producing epoxy and polyurethane-based systems since 2001, is working as the Assistant General Manager in the company. He is a Member of the Board of the Composite Manufacturers Association, a Member of the Board of the European Composites Manufacturers Association (EuCIA) as the representative of this association, and a Board Member of the KAYIK Wooden Boat Manufacturers and Subcontractors Association.

Paksoy, who is interested in sailing as an amateur, is married.

He speaks German and English.
